This two-day course is designed to develop advanced skills for candidates who wish to learn Long Range Shooting procedures and tactics.

Course description

The two-day Advance course is designed to develop sniper skills for the candidates who use sniper rifles in their duties (soldiers, police officers, contractors in risk areas) and others (sport shooters in competitions eg FinnSniper, hunters). Candidates will learn how sniper rifles work, the basics of rifle optics, the composition of ammunition and different calibers, the basics of ballistics (internal, external, terminal), they will learn how to properly position the riflescope and zero the weapon at the desired distance. Candidates will learn also methods of basic orientation and route planning, formation movement of a sniper pair/group, movement of the individual, camouflage, etc. The knowledge gained will improve students’ knowledge about sniper work.

Skill prerequisites and Requirements

The candidate must have previous experience with firearms (Basic sniper course or similar). Courses connected with weapons require a clean criminal record certificate. Participants must sign a statement that they have a clean criminal record.
