This full course is designed to develop skills for the candidates who wish to learn Long Range Shooting procedures and tactics.
Course description
The 4-days (40 hours) full course is designed to develop sniper skills for the candidates who uses sniper rifle in their duties (soldiers, police officers, contractors in risk areas) and others (sport shooters in competitions eg FinnSniper, hunters). Candidates will learn how sniper rifles work, the basics of rifle optics, composition of ammunition and diffrent calibers, the basics of ballistics (internal, external, terminal), they will learn how to properly position the riflescope and zero the weapon at the desired distance.
Candidates will learn also methods of measuring distances, improving observation, alternative firing positions, long range shooting, making sniper data book/ballistic charts and sniper/observer duties. The knowledge gained will improve target recognition and distance determination and accuracy of long-range shooting.
Skill prerequisites and Requirements
The candidate does not have to possess prior experience with firearms but they must be highly motivated. Courses connected with weapons require a clean criminal record certificate. Participants must sign a statement that they have a clean criminal record.

Methods
The course will be taught using theoretical and practical exercises. The lectures will be conducted in the classroom, in buildings, and on the shooting range. The course will be given with the LYNX TC equipment.
